As an intimacy coordinator, Amanda ensures that any scenes with simulated sex or nudity happen without a hitch. By working closely with the actors, director, and other crew members, Amanda provides the actors with a safe environment in which to do their best work while supporting the execution of the creative vision for the show. Her work as an intimacy coordinator is guided by the SAG-AFTRA Standards and Protocols for the Use of Intimacy Coordinators.

Agency and IC Training
In addition to working as an intimacy coordinator, Amanda is also the founder of Intimacy Professionals Association (IPA). Through IPA, Amanda trains and certifies intimacy coordinators for film and television. IPA is also an agency that represents a wide variety of intimacy professionals, including intimacy coordinators, trans consultants, and other types of consultants on topics related to gender and sexuality, and it is also an educational organization.
